19thc Nottingham 20 point lace panel, Independence
Description19thc Nottingham 20 point lace panel depicting the Declaration of Independence 1776. In a birds eye maple frame. The cracked Liberty Bell hangs over the scene of Thomas Jefferson and other Congress members signing in the State House in Philadelphia, set within a scrolled frame flanked by Indians. Top right and left corners have eagles in flight over the mountains. Bottom right is Washington DC and bottom left is The Pennsylvania State House now known as Independence Hall. To the centre bottom are the initials of Tom Brammer the designer.
Reasonable good condition, some faults.
Approx. 24.75" high x 23.75" wide. Sight size 21" high x 20" wide.
