Contarini Fleming by Benjamin Disraeli, signed letter
DescriptionContarini Fleming A romance by B. Disraeli, M.P., copyright edition, Leipzig Bernhard Tauchnitz 1846. Leather bound with gold lettering to the spine. Bound within the pages is a letter (with envelope and printed portrait card of Disraeli), dated February 17th 1865, signed by Disraeli to the historical scholar Rawdon Brown thanking him for the copy of the preface to the Venetian Calendar. A note on the envelope says 'Received in Casa delta Vida 26 February 1865'. Probably written by Rawdon Brown. This is a little piece of history!
